Hudsonville Hot Streak Continues with 4-2 Win

Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Hudsonville Flanderses got the win.
The Hudsonville Flanderses had to overcome a fine effort from Crowley pitcher Ted Bottone to grab a narrow 4-2 win at Titans Ballpark. Bottone went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. The winner was John Bell in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Halmar Visscher took the loss. Earning his 15th save for Hudsonville was Daniel Fuentes.
Hudsonville used the clutch hitting of Take Schoutens to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Flanderses ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.
"I felt good up there," said Schoutens. "I saw the ball well."
The winning continues for Hudsonville, with the latest making it 11 straight.
