|
Hicksville catcher Lawrence Lyons had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-4, to Germantown at Ballpark of Albuquerque. Lyons went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Adam Shirley notched his 8th save in 9 chances. Germantown goes to 31-32, Hicksville to 34-29.
The Uruguayans got a big at-bat from shortstop Carlos Villegas. For the game, Villegas went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season gave Germantown a 6-4 lead.
"I just try to be a dog, have good swings, good at-bats," said Villegas.
