In a low-scoring tilt between the Bompton Baby Lakers and the Shady Side Zoomies, 21-year old right-handed pitcher Leonard Sheppard was the difference-maker. The Bompton right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Pancho Lizalda recorded the save for Bompton, his 1st of the season. The win lifts Bompton to a record of 1-1.

Arturo Álvarez had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the eighth. The Bompton pinch hitter came through with a run-scoring single to put Bompton in front, 2-1.
