The Fort Knox Centennial knocked off the Redwood Rhinos, 4-2, in USPL Low A action at Ballpark of Baxter. Fort Knox designated hitter and San Juan, Texas, native Hubert Estes had an outstanding performance. Fort Knox pitcher Jack Jones got the win, upping his record to 5-0. Terry Ward got the loss. The win gives Fort Knox a season record of 40-24.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Roberto Durán came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Redwood pitcher Li Hark, he hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Fort Knox on top, 3-2.

Durán attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
