The Tulsa Otters picked up a win at Hound Pound, downing the Hicksville Hounds, 3-1, in 11 innings. On the mound for Tulsa was right-hander Dustin Howard, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Otters, at 39-25, sit in third place in the Premier Low A.
Howard, who was born in Norwalk, Iowa, threw 100 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing no runs.
"Dustin set the tone with his ability to attack the hitters," said Tulsa manager Bob Grzelak.
