Warheads Win at Germantown, 4-2
|
Amarillo pitcher Lan-quing Xin had a large part in his team subduing the Germantown Uruguayans, 4-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. The save went to Andrew Shirley, his 13th this season. Amarillo raised its record to 40-24 with the win.
Stanford Logan, who is tied for 3rd in the PA- with a .339 batting average, had a direct impact on the outcome. Logan contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Amarillo up, 1-0.
After the game, Amarillo manager José López applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
