Amarillo Gets 4-1 Win
Amarillo pitcher Lan-quing Xin had a large part in his team subduing the Hicksville Hounds, 4-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. The winner was Xin. He threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Gary Aldridge. The second-place Warheads hiked their record to 36-28.

Amarillo used a clutch at-bat from Th'dor Uncool to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Warheads ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"What's not to like about a win?" said Uncool.
