White Slugs Hounds to 3-0 Win
|
The Hicksville Hounds knocked off the Tulsa Otters, 3-0, at Hound Pound. Mike White was a big reason Hicksville won. The left fielder was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Ricardo Gamera got the save, the 7th for him this season. The defeat makes Tulsa 39-26.
With Hicksville leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, White batted against Tulsa pitcher Josh Leach. White hit a fastball to left for a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season put the Hounds on top, 3-0.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Bob Grzelak. "That was the problem."
