Cattlemen Notch 9-2 Win Versus Bullets
|
The Ft. Worth Cattlemen pinned a convincing loss on the Baltimore Bullets, 9-2, at Baltimore Grounds. Jeremy Brooks was a main factor in the win. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for Ft. Worth. The winning pitcher was 34-year old right-handed pitcher Jesús Rosas. He tossed 92 pitches over 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits. Ft. Worth sits in 6th place in the Silver League at 15-15.
The Cattlemen got an important contribution from second baseman Atticus Sappington, who in the top of the fourth hit a 1-1 changeup to center for a 2-run double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Cattlemen ahead, 3-0.
"It's nice to see a lot of guys make contributions," said Cattlemen manager Scott Thompson.
