Octopi Suffer 3-1 Loss to Angel Kitties
|
The Bethlehem Angel Kitties earned a close win over the Ogallala Octopi, thanks in part to Ray Murphy. The Bethlehem right-hander, who is tied for 4th in the PA- in saves with 11, played a key role in the 3-1 victory. Murphy yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 0, and struck out 10. His record improves to 3-4. Bethlehem is now 28-38.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Ernan Rillera didn't flinch. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Ogallala trailing 3-1, Rillera retired George Tennyson to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Rillera, with a wink.
