The Fort Knox Centennial beat the Crowley Cajuns, 8-4, in 10 innings. Fort Knox pitcher and Boutte, Louisiana, native José Castro led the way. The 9th-place Cajuns dropped to 24-45.
The result might have been different, had it not been for 21-year old left fielder Salvador Silva. Silva had a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Centennial ahead, 5-4. For the game, Silva had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
