Cajuns Make It 5 In a Row with 3-2 Triumph Over Hicksville

Ramiro Tapián pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Hicksville Hounds, despite Tapián's fine outing, dropped a 3-2 decision to the Crowley Cajuns at Hound Pound. Robbie Stanley earned the win for Crowley. He lasted 5.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 6-2. Dae-hwan Park got credit for the save for Crowley. It was his 9th of the year.
Crowley used the bat of Dale Bland to get the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Cajuns ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"I believe in our guys," said Crowley skipper Neal Davis. "I like the energy they're playing with."
The Premier Low A-leading Cajuns are 48-21.
