Suzuki Stars for Beavers in 10-8 Win
The Northwest Territory Beavers topped the Crowley Cajuns, 10-8, with youngster Kyushichi Suzuki playing a key role. Suzuki went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Beavers in the win. Northwest Territory pitcher Gil Dunn got the win. He's now 4-1. José Serrano was tagged with the loss. The save went to Darryl Brady, his 20th this season.

Northwest Territory won the game in part because of Patrick McKenty. The left fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Beavers ahead, 10-8. For the game, McKenty had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

In postgame comments to the Northwest Territory Observer, McKenty said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

At 46-24, the Beavers find themselves in second place in the Premier Low A.
