Carlsson Now 8-5 After Subduing Uruguayans
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Germantown Uruguayans and Tulsa Otters get after it.
Tulsa used a superb performance from starting pitcher Helmer Carlsson to down the Germantown Uruguayans, 4-0. The Otters, at 36-35, sit in 5th place in the Premier Low A.
The standout performance belonged to 19-year-old Carlsson. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Otters. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Uruguayans, striking out 3 and scattering 3 hits over 8 innings. Carlsson is now 8-5 on the season.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Carlsson said.
