The Colorado Billy Goats, behind a great outing from Shawn Zimmerman, who is tied for 4th in the SL in strikeouts with 36, defeated the Montana Pandas, 3-1, at Grazing Hills. George Atwater got the save, the 9th for him this season. The 7th-place Billy Goats improved to 14-16.

Jeff Hines hit a run-scoring double off Nick Long in the bottom of the third, which put the Billy Goats in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Hines had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"I pretty much put my pitches where I wanted to," said Zimmerman.
