The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish faced a tough opponent in Crowley pitcher Casu Marzu, but still scratched out a win at Titans Ballpark by a final score of 3-1 in 10 innings. Marzu went 8 innings and allowed no runs. The win was credited to Ruud Asmus in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Jason Carroll took the loss. Pedro Moya closed it out for his 18th save.

Plattsburgh needed the clutch hitting of Stan Peters to seal the deal. The center fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Puffer Fish on top, 3-1. For the game, Peters had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Plattsburgh manager Mike Carlisle. "It's usually not just one thing."

The third-place Puffer Fish are 39-32.
