Uruguayans Win at Crowley, 6-1
|
Rafael Valentín was a vital contributor to the 6-1 Germantown victory over Crowley. The Uruguayans right fielder went 2-4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Germantown pitcher Rod Palmer got the win. He's now 5-7. Chris Fry was tagged with the loss. The save went to Hunter Holman, his 8th this season.
Early in the game, Valentín had a 3-run home run for Germantown. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Uruguayans on top, 3-0.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Valentín.
The Uruguayans raised their record to 35-38.
