The Hudsonville Flanderses knocked off the Ladue Rams, 3-2, in USSL Low A action at Ballpark of Wellsville. Hudsonville pitcher and Fajardo, Puerto Rico, native Jesús Bojórquez had an outstanding performance. The win went to Rizhean Bonrostro in relief, making him now 1-0. Carl Rogers took the loss for Ladue. Len Johnson closed it out for Hudsonville, earning his 1st save.

Hudsonville needed the clutch hitting of Scott Mayes to notch the win. The catcher hammered a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Flanderses on top, 3-2. For the game, Mayes had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Mayes.

The Flanderses, now 2-0, have stormed out of the gates.
