Memphis took on Ogallala in front of a lively crowd.

Memphis second baseman Dane Lew had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Ogallala Octopi, 8-2. Román Ramos picked up the save, his 1st.

With Memphis leading 3-0 in the top of the sixth, Lew came up to bat against Ogallala pitcher Dan Spears. Lew hit a fastball to left-center for a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season put the Music on top, 5-0.

Memphis manager Omar Casteneda was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.

The loss drops Ogallala to 0-2.
