In a tight tilt between the Hudsonville Flanderses and the Redwood Rhinos, Fa-tang Xiong was the deciding factor. The Hudsonville left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Hudsonville reliever Michael Elkins picked up the win to move to 3-3. Florian Umstaedter suffered the loss. This loss makes it 6 in a row for Redwood.

Hudsonville went in front, 3-2, on Eric Thomas's 9th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Thomas hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Redwood pitcher Florian Umstaedter visibly perturbed.

"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Xiong.
