The Amarillo Warheads got a magnificent performance from pitcher Bob Foster, who muffled the Tulsa offense en route to a tight, 3-0 Warheads win at Ballpark of Hughesville. In 6 innings, Foster surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. Gerald Delgado earned the save for Amarillo, his 24th.

James Payton had a big 2-run home run for the Warheads in the top of the fourth inning. With Amarillo leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from John Schneider, who is tied for 2nd in the PA- with a 10.0 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Warheads on top, 3-0.

Payton said his team "played with focus."
