The timely hitting of Nobuo Kobayashi helped the Fort Knox Centennial down the Amarillo Warheads, 8-3. Kobayashi was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Centennial. The 4th-place Warheads have lost 8 consecutive games.

In the bottom of the fourth, Fort Knox third baseman Joe Baker had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Baker stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 3-2, Fort Knox. For the game, he was 1 for 3 with a walk.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Kobayashi told the Fort Knox Today.
