The Germantown Uruguayans picked up a win at Toros Ballpark, knocking off the Tijuana Toros, 15-5, in 10 innings. Starting pitcher Valentín Buitrugo played a key role in the triumph. The 5th-place Uruguayans are 40-37.

Germantown used a clutch hit from Scott Creswell to snatch the win. The shortstop belted a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Uruguayans ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was huge.

"Valentín was in attack mode," said Germantown manager Jamie Scott.
