With Late Score, Crush Beat Octopi

The Flint Crush earned a close win over the Ogallala Octopi, thanks in part to Félix Santana. The Flint right-hander, who is tied for 10th in the PA- in complete games with 1, played a key role in the 2-1 victory. Flint reliever Ming-hoa Meng picked up the win to move to 4-0. Brenden Pilgrim suffered the loss. Earning his 16th save for Flint was Brandon Mitchell.
Foster Brantley cracked a home run off Brenden Pilgrim in the bottom of the eighth. His solo blast put the Crush on top, 2-1. In all, Brantley had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"It was a solid team effort," said Santana after the game.
The win gives Flint a season record of 39-38.
