Hudsonville 6-2 Losers to Beavers
|
Northwest Territory Beavers starter John Morrison pitched a strong game against the Hudsonville Flanderses at Hudsonville Park, leading the Beavers to victory, 6-2. Morrison, now 4-4, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 5, walking 5, and allowing no runs. Northwest Territory is now 43-34.
Northwest Territory used a clutch hit from Luis Jiménez to get the win. The second baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Beavers ahead, 6-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Jiménez told the Northwest Territory Chronicle.
