Cajuns Get Hard-Earned Win
|
The Crowley Cajuns faced a tenacious opponent in Tulsa pitcher Andreas Andersen, but still scratched out a win at Titans Ballpark by a final score of 4-3 in 12 innings. Andersen went 8 innings and allowed no runs. The winner was Ryan Hall in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Dudley Farrell took the loss. The first-place Cajuns have a one-game lead in their division.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Crowley right fielder Colin Davidson, facing Dudley Farrell, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Cajuns the 4-3 win.
"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Cajuns manager Bill Wallace.
