Warheads Snatch Late-Game, 3-2 Win
|
The Amarillo Warheads grabbed a win, 3-2, over the Fort Knox Centennial at Ballpark of Baxter. Amarillo catcher Peter Bailey was 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Warheads are now 44-34.
Bailey had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-1 cutter from Eduardo Ojeda, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Warheads a 3-1 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Bailey.
"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Bailey said (again).
