Flint wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Pete Scott, falling to the Amarillo Warheads, 3-2. Scott threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Andrew Shirley picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-4. Brandon Mitchell suffered the loss. With the win, Amarillo pushed its record to 45-34.

Amarillo got a knockout punch from Art Vandelay. The right fielder hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This place was rockin'," said Vandelay.
