Beaumont Crossbeaus starter Juan Velásquez pitched well against the Germantown Uruguayans at The Target, leading his team to a win, 4-2. Velásquez, now 8-6, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 10 hits, while striking out 11, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Carlos Herrera was credited with the save for Beaumont, his 8th of the season.

Beaumont took the lead, 4-2, on Adrian Cameron's 6th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Cameron hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Germantown pitcher Trent Harris crestfallen.

"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Velásquez.
