James Gray never let the Rhinos get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Puffer Fish to a win, 5-0. By defeating Redwood, the 4th-place Puffer Fish improved to 45-36.

Gray, who was born in Mesa, Arizona, threw 111 pitches over 8.2 innings, while allowing no runs.

"James answered the bell," said Plattsburgh manager Mike Carlisle.
