There was no shortage of dramatics at Ballpark of Baxter.
In a low-scoring tilt between the Fort Knox Centennial and the Hudsonville Flanderses, Joe Blamey, who is tied for 8th in the PA- in quality starts with 11, was the difference-maker. The Fort Knox right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Fort Knox is now 45-36, while Hudsonville is 47-34.
The Centennial got a clutch hit from third baseman Alvin Gardner. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Centennial.
"This wasn't a good win," said Blamey. "It was a great win."
