White goes 2-5 to Ignite Kingfishers Offense
With designated hitter David White leading the charge, the Pittsburgh Kingfishers defeated the Las Vegas Flamingos, 5-0, at The Strip. White, who is tied for 10th in the SL in triples with 1, threw 8.1 innings of shutout ball. The winning pitcher was White, now 3-1. He tossed 8.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 6. After today's action, Pittsburgh sits at 18-13, while Las Vegas falls to 15-16.

Matt Petty had a big 2-run double for the Kingfishers in the top of the first inning. With Pittsburgh leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from Mike Bailie, who is tied for 10th in the SL in innings pitched with 41.2, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Kingfishers ahead, 3-0.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said White.
