The Germantown Uruguayans picked up a win at Ballpark of Albuquerque, knocking off the Redwood Rhinos, 3-2. Starting pitcher Dan Sawyer played a key role in the triumph. The winner was Roberto Valdéz in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Héctor Serrano took the loss. The Uruguayans, at 38-44, sit in 6th place in the Premier Low A.

Had César Vázquez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Vázquez hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Uruguayans.

When asked about his performance after the game, Sawyer said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
