The Germantown Uruguayans converted a terrific effort from starter Valentín Buitrugo into a win over the Tijuana Toros at Ballpark of Albuquerque. The Uruguayans won the game by a final score of 5-0. The victory puts Germantown at 30-52.

Buitrugo, a native of El Seibo, Dominican Republic, was dealing all game. He kept Tijuana hitters off-balance, while giving the Uruguayans 8.1 quality innings. Buitrugo threw 98 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 5.

"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Buitrugo.
