Crowley Triumphs with Late Surge
Crowley took on Fort Knox in front of a lively crowd.

The Crowley Cajuns got a good effort from starter Adam Johnson in defeating the Fort Knox Centennial at Ballpark of Baxter. The final score was 4-2. Ryan Hall was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 3 save opportunities.

Crowley used the timely hitting of Ed Steele to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cajuns on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Johnson.

With the victory, the Cajuns record stands at 32-51.
