Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish and Germantown Uruguayans.

The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish knocked off the Germantown Uruguayans, 5-4, at Plattsburgh Park. Maija Meikäläinen was a big reason Plattsburgh won. The shortstop was 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. The Uruguayans have now dropped 6 straight.

Had Raúl Badillo not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Badillo hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Puffer Fish.

"I was a little disappointed," said Germantown manager Greg Dixon. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
