Flanderses Rally to Nose Past Redwood
|
In a tight tilt between the Hudsonville Flanderses and the Redwood Rhinos, Bob Scott was the difference-maker. The Hudsonville right-hander excelled in his team's 3-2 win in 10 innings. The winner was Juan Zanudo in relief. His record improves to 3-4. Rubén Sánchez took the loss. After today's action, Hudsonville sits at 36-47; Redwood slips to 58-25.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Hudsonville shortstop Oliver Joicey, facing Rubén Sánchez, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Flanderses the 3-2 win.
"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Flanderses manager Teika Suto.
