Extra-Inning Win by Cajuns Over Puffer Fish
|
The Cajuns earned a hard-fought, 5-2 win in 10 innings at Plattsburgh Park. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Plattsburgh pitcher Mark Moore. Moore went 8 innings and allowed 2 runs. The win was credited to 19-year old right-handed pitcher Jason Carroll in relief. His record improves to 2-4. Christian Sandoval took the loss. Crowley goes to 51-34. The win puts them 2 games up in their division.
Sergio Reyes came through with a big-time hit for Crowley. The center fielder smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 5-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"I like the roll we're on," said Crowley manager Bill Wallace.
