Dominant Performance by Hensley in Fort Knox Win
|
The Fort Knox Centennial received a superlative performance from starting pitcher Nick Hensley, allowing them to bump off the Redwood Rhinos, 4-1. Getting the save was Charles Siddorn, his 2nd. Fort Knox, at 55-30, is 3 games up in the Premier Low A.
The standout performance belonged to 19-year-old Hensley. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Centennial. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Rhinos, striking out 7 and scattering 4 hits over 8.2 innings. Hensley is now 11-4 on the season.
"This game will punch you right in the mouth," said Hensley. "My job is to show up and give my team a chance."
