Otters Get Thrilling 5-4 Win
|
The Northwest Territory Beavers got a sterling performance from pitcher Randy Powell, but the Tulsa Otters still prevailed, 5-4. Powell threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Tomoyuki Sasaki, who is tied for 6th in the PA- in holds with 5, was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Greg Thomas. The Otters improved their record to 38-47 by beating Northwest Territory.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when first baseman Eduardo Luján hit a run-scoring double. The Otters went on to win.
"Big win," said Luján.
