Zoomies Get Plucky, 5-4 Win Over Beavers
Shady Side beat Northwest Territory at Terriers Ballpark, escaping with a 5-4 win. The win in large part was due to right fielder Randy MacBeth. He went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2. The winner was Igor Plomp, who threw 114 pitches over 9 innings. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs on 10 hits. The 4th-place Zoomies go to 45-41.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, MacBeth hit a fastball from Takao Kato for a solo home run. The Zoomies, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," MacBeth told the Shady Side Times.
