The Redwood Rhinos picked up a win at The Zoo, knocking off the Tijuana Toros, 14-4. On the mound for Redwood was right-hander Curt Case. He played a key role in the triumph. In 7.2 innings, Case surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 0. He allowed 4 runs.

Early in the game, first baseman Santiago Vargas had a 3-run home run for Redwood. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Rhinos on top, 3-0.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Vargas.

The loss makes Tijuana 35-53.
