Trash Pandas Fall Short, 5-4, at Philadelphia
|
Philadelphia first baseman Jim Klein was instrumental in helping the Liberty U-21 triumph, 5-4, over the Watford City Trash Pandas. Klein was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times. Pete Gross earned the save, his 1st, for the Liberty U-21. Watford City now is 1-3.
Philadelphia took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, David Johnson hit a run-scoring single to make it 5-4, Liberty U-21.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Johnson told the Philadelphia Gazette.
