Hudsonville wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Kevin Gray, falling to the Germantown Uruguayans, 5-3. Gray threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Trent Harris got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Germantown currently is in 6th place in the Premier Low A at 41-47.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Hsin-ta Sun came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Hudsonville pitcher Cristóbal González, he hit a 1-0 splitter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Germantown on top, 4-3.

"They tested our mettle," said Sun. "But that's good. It toughens us up."
