Toros Lose to Beavers in Walk-Off
Starting pitcher Pepe Valentín gave the Northwest Territory Beavers a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Tijuana Toros, 2-1, at Beaver Town. Darryl Brady came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 2-6. The Beavers go to 58-32, putting them second in the Premier Low A.

The Beavers nabbed the win, in part because of catcher Pat Wallace. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered the game-winning run-scoring single.

Wallace said his team "played with determination."
