With Late Score, Flanderses Beat Octopi

The Hudsonville Flanderses managed to get by the Ogallala Octopi, 3-2, in 10 innings at Nebraska Aquarium. Hudsonville pitcher Oscar Drenth set himself apart with his performance. Picking up the save was 19-year old right-handed pitcher Robbie Brown. The loss makes Ogallala 2-3.
Hudsonville used the timely hitting of Graham Crowle to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Flanderses on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I was a little disappointed," said Ogallala manager Dewitt Hopper. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
