Toros Tack 4-2 Loss on Warheads
|
Tijuana got a strong outing from Dong-joo Im as the Toros defeated the Amarillo Warheads, 4-2, at Ballpark of Henderson. Im yielded no runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-0. Clint Clifton, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2062 draft, nailed down the save.
Tijuana won the game in part because of Kei-thing Yei. The second baseman ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Toros ahead, 1-0. For the game, Yei had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Im.
Tijuana is now 2-3.
