Crowley Drops Another One, 3-1
The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Germantown fans at Ballpark of Albuquerque.

Pedro Báez was terrific for the Germantown Uruguayans in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Crowley Cajuns. His performance earned Báez rave reviews. Báez picked up the win for Germantown, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 6-6.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Uruguayans had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when first baseman Dan Smith hit a 2-run single. The single came off Augusto Gómez and made the score 3-1, Uruguayans. Smith went 2 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"Pedro's stuff looked really, really crisp," said Jamie Scott, the Uruguayans manager.

The slumping Cajuns have dropped 7 in a row.
