In a low-scoring contest between the Fort Knox Centennial and the Beaumont Crossbeaus, Joe Blamey, who is tied for 4th in the PA- in quality starts with 13, proved to be the difference. The Fort Knox right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-1 Centennial win. In 7 innings, Blamey surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Daniel Aggett earned the save for Fort Knox, his 2nd of the year.
Ricardo López swatted a 3-run home run for Fort Knox in the bottom of the first. The first baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 3.
