Cattlemen Suffer 5-2 Setback
|
The Buffalo White Walkers scooped up a win at Beyond the Wall, dumping the Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 5-2. Volmer Aalbers was essential to his team's success. Aalbers picked up the win for Buffalo, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Johnny Flannery picked up his 1st save of the season.
Hsiao-lou Rui drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances for Buffalo. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Rui, who finished 3rd in the PL in doubles with 31 in 2054, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Ft. Worth hurler Chase Davis, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the White Walkers a 3-2 lead.
"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Aalbers.
Buffalo, now 2-0, is setting the league on fire so far.
