Hicksville Hot Streak Continues with 7-1 Win
|
Behind the hitting of Lynwood Carr, the Hicksville Hounds stopped the Memphis Music, 7-1. Carr was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Hounds. David Ramos picked up the win, improving his season record to 13-5. He struck out 4 in 6.1 innings. Gabriel Delgado earned the save for Hicksville, his 2nd of the year.
Chris Gillespie cracked a home run off Danny Hockey in the top of the fourth. His 2-run blast put the Hounds on top, 2-0. In all, Gillespie had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"When their pitchers are leaving stuff over the heart of the plate, we're not missing it," said Hicksville manager Art Manning.
The winning continues for Hicksville, with the latest triumph making it 7 straight.
