Warheads Lose By a Run at Redwood
Rubén Sánchez, who is tied for 8th in the PA- with a 9.6 K/9 rate, was locked in. The right-hander led the Redwood Rhinos to a 2-1 win against the Amarillo Warheads at The Zoo. Redwood is now 43-48, Amarillo 51-40.

Ernesto Maldonado had a big run-scoring double for the Rhinos in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Redwood leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a sinker from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Hal Gaines and swatted a double to center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rhinos ahead, 2-0.

Sánchez said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
