Otters Fall Short, 5-4, at Hudsonville

The Hudsonville Flanderses knocked off the Tulsa Otters, 5-4, at Hudsonville Park. Bobby Gross was a big reason Hudsonville won. The center fielder was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Dan Bozovic snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 2.2 innings. He's now 2-2 on the season. Picking up his 32nd save was 18-year old right-handed pitcher Cristóbal González.
Hudsonville took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 3rd, Eric Thomas hit a run-scoring single to make it 5-4, Flanderses.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Thomas.
The win gives Hudsonville a season record of 55-36.
