Redwood Rhinos starter Pedro Corona pitched his team past the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 4-2. Corona, now 5-6, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. Bob Morton was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 20 of 23 save opportunities.
Kevin Reed was vital to the Redwood win. He was 1 for 5. In the bottom of the third with one out, Reed hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 2-1, in favor of the Rhinos.
